THE ANIMALS
Farm in the Woods is home to many different animals, from the cats and dogs to the livestock, everyone has an important role to play in keeping the farm running.

THE SHETLANDS
It all started with Rainy, Flora and Fanny, three beautiful little miniature sheep. The flock grew from there, moving away from the single-purpose fibre-producing miniature sheep to large dual-purpose breeds used for wool and meat. The Shetland Sheep remain fixtures in the flock as a source of beautiful wool and a symbol of where we began.

THE SHEEP
Sheep are the main focus at Farm in the Woods. We breed, raise and care for a genetically diverse flock of dual purpose sheep that provide delicious pasture raised, grass-fed lamb as well as their wool coats which are shorn in the spring to keep them comfortable throughout the summer.

THE CHICKENS
The beautiful flock of free range hens are always busy pecking around the farm and laying delicious wholesome eggs for you to enjoy.

THE WORKING DOGS
Bear, Bernie, their 'dogter' Poley and son Bernard are a team of very large and friendly Great Pyrenees dogs standing guard over their respective flocks of sheep, goats and chickens, protecting them from predators such as coyotes, raccoons, weasels and foxes.

THE BORDER COLLIES
You'll meet a couple border collies that don't actually do anything because calling in the flock for dinner is all that is needed to round up these sheep.

THE HORSES
A wee buckskin pony and his donkey friend call the farm home, Annie grew up with horses and is passionate about them. They would love to come and say hello! Pick up some windfall apples from one of the trees for them and you'll have some new best friends.

OTHER LIVESTOCK
Though it's not our main focus, we also seasonally raise dairy goats, heritage breed meat chickens and pigs in an open, outdoor environment.
